Thermally modified Blue Gum has been permanently altered to create a richer, more intense colour to the timber. This timber is ideal for flooring due to its durability. Thermally Modified Blue Gum has a Janka hardness rating of 9.0.
The heartwood of Totara is an even reddish to pink brown and the sapwood pale brown. The timber is stable and has very straight grain and a fine texture. It makes a durable and attractive floor.
