Thermally modified Blue Gum has been permanently altered to create a richer, more intense colour to the timber. This timber is ideal for flooring due to its durability. Thermally Modified Blue Gum has a Janka hardness rating of 9.0.  This process reflects the more typical colours of the species, blending the tones together to provide a more uniform appearance. Another advantage of Thermally Enhanced Hardwood is the transformation of the traditional lighter sapwood to a more natural and attractive warm undertone.
