The James Henry team matched our floor boards nicely. They did an excellent job at repairing our broken and rotten floor boards in our bathroom. We had a long strip of chip board that they replaced with a beautiful piece of matai that fits perfectly and snug. Excellent craftsmanship with great communication.

We have just had our recycled native timber floor installed by James Henry Flooring and can not believe how beautiful the floors are looking.  The team who came on site here to do each stage of the flooring were lovely to interact with and the work they have done at our place we feel is exceptional. Have uploaded some photos that I took before our kitchen commenced installation today.

Four years after the James Henry team put in our new kitchen floor it still looks great and we gets lots of positive comments. We hesitated when choosing it because it was a bit over our budget, but very glad we said yes. And the team were great – friendly, helpful and took real pride in their work.

The team at James Henry were awesome. My wife and I were looking for coloured matai flooring to match existing already in the house. Chris was my contact point and answered multiple questions. The customer service is some of the best I’ve come across. The coloured matai they had in stock they were not happy with so more was run / machined early 2023. Once the flooring was ready to be dispatched I was called and delivery was delayed due to poor weather that week and they wanted to ensure that no water would come in contact with the timber.

We converted a bedroom into a bathroom which involved ripping up the old Matai floor to get all the plumbing in. The old floor was unusable subsequently so we sourced replacement timber overlay floors from James Henry with the install being done by ourselves. Great service, prices and delivery. As you can see the results are amazing and it also blends in seamlessly with the rest of the house.

Thanks Chris for recommending getting our matai kitchen and bathroom floors oiled after previously being coated in polyurethane. Your workers Israel and Isaac did a fantastic job and took great care with our existing kitchen cabinetry. The oiled floor boards makes them look brilliant, it truly brings out the wood grain and has made the floors a much more lovely feature of our house (honestly far nicer than polyurethane as a finish). We love the recycled matai floor that James Henry installed for us, the colour is fantastic and nicely matches an existing original floor in our entranceway. Having the option of the wax finish is great. The advice and service from Chris, Adrian and the team was excellent. Would absolutely recommend.

James Henry delivered an exceptional project both in terms of service and quality of craftmanship. From Adrian’s overall guidance and management, re-organising timeframes and keeping engaged throughout lockdown, to Kurt and his incredible knowledge and passion for his craft, to Izzy and Finley for bringing my sad old Matai floors back to life and so full of character, and and to Jason and Scott for their care and good humour with my furniture; all were a pleasure to work with.
From the first day of sanding, I knew that the floors were going to look amazing. Retuning to the finished water-based polyurethane sheen exceeded my expectations.

I contacted James Henry Ltd after seeing an ad on FB. I wanted to replace the vinyl flooring in my home with authentic, recycled rimu in keeping with its age. I am so impressed with this company. They contacted me promptly after I left a msg. They were on schedule and very professional. The tradesman who worked on my floor were so much more than that – they are artisans.
